Tendrils in the Garden is a new small business selling handcrafted garden obelisks and outdoor decor. I partnered with the owner from the ground up—handling everything from product photography and brand styling to full website design and development. Built on WordPress, the site is clean, responsive, and designed to reflect the client’s aesthetic while keeping the focus on her products.
Key features include a photo-forward layout, seamless links to Instagram and Facebook, and a simple structure that makes future updates easy. The site supports early-stage marketing efforts and serves as a flexible foundation as the business grows.
Hapco-Elmar is a hospitality product manufacturer with a broad catalog of in-room accessories for hotels and resorts. I led the complete redesign and development of their website to showcase their product line in a clean, modern format that serves as a digital catalog for distributors and hospitality buyers.
Built on WordPress using the Total Theme as a base, the site features a fully custom product catalog powered by Advanced Custom Fields and custom post types. This setup allows Hapco-Elmar to display product variations—such as color options—within structured, easy-to-navigate templates. The site is fully responsive and tailored to provide a user-friendly experience across devices.
As part of the project, I also handled extensive product photo editing, standardizing images on white backgrounds and performing color correction and cleanup to ensure visual consistency.
The project was a solo effort and is ongoing. I continue to support Hapco-Elmar with website management, design updates, and digital strategy, including setup assistance for their social media presence.
eCommerce Development, Content Migration, Custom WordPress Features
Open House Imports is a specialty gift shop with a long-standing online presence. I led the full redesign and redevelopment of their eCommerce website, migrating the store from a legacy Zen Cart system to a modern WordPress and WooCommerce platform.
The goal was to preserve the look and feel of the previous site—honoring customer familiarity—while delivering a cleaner, more user-friendly experience. The design balances tradition with modern functionality, making it easier for customers to browse and purchase products across devices.
Key features include a custom cart migration process, user access controls via MemberPress to delegate store and event calendar management to staff, and lightweight customizations to display site-wide notices—such as when the shop is temporarily closed.
This was a solo project, and I continue to provide ongoing support and maintenance for the site.
